Wild Heaven, described as “lawless, aggressive 90s-evocative alternative rock,” by KUTX’s Jack Anderson, reflects a “recent riot grrl” sound. The album inspects the contradictions of society’s expectations for American, and particularly Texan, women in the 2020s, and it explores the ways feminists adapt traditional roles to create a life that feels authentic.
From covering the shame of the arrival of the post-Roe era, to battling the fear of losing an unborn child, “I Need You” is a dynamic and emotional ride that explores lost love, female resentment, and the healing journey and acceptance of new love and motherhood.
The album was recorded by Matt Parmenter of Ice Cream Factory Studios, recent winner of The Austin Chronicle Music Awards for the “Best Recording Studio” category. It was mastered by Eric Conn of Independent Mastering in Nashville, Tennessee. It will be available on vinyl in August 2024 from Gotta Groove Records in Cleveland, Ohio.
This solo project is a neo-psychedelic inspired work that speaks to white supremacy in America, reproductive rights, and the terrifying depths of the female psyche.
Recorded and produced in Austin, Texas, by GALASO, “Ready for Love” is Laura Delarosa’s first music release under the moniker Saturnia Pavonia.
